According to head coach Jeremy Colliton, after being a healthy scratch for the first four games of the season amid trade rumors, Blackhawks forward Dylan Strome is back in the lineup tonight.
Dylan Strome will finally get to play a game. He and Carpenter are entering the Blackhawks’ lineup tonight. Kurashev scratched, Gaudette still scratched, Hardman out. Lankinen officially starting.

With the Blackhawks looking for some type of spark to ignite their struggling offense, Jeremy Colliton is turning to Dylan Strome when the Blackhawks host the Vancouver Canucks tonight. Ryan Carpenter is also back in the lineup, while Philipp Kurashev and Adam Gaudette will be healthy scratches for Chicago. After he suffered what the team calls a “head laceration” in Tuesday night’s loss to the Islanders, Mike Hardman is out.
Here’s what Colliton had to say about Strome’s addition to the lineup for the first time this season, according to Ben Pope of the Sun-Times:
“He’s [had a] great attitude. Knowing his situation in camp, he’s worked hard. He’s prepared himself. I’m very optimistic he’s going to come in and give us some energy. He’s a guy that he finds ways to chip in offensively. We’ll see what happens.”
Colliton also announced that Kevin Lankinen would get the nod in the crease for the Blackhawks this evening, giving struggling veteran Marc-André Fleury the night off.
