Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Things certainly aren't looking great for Andrea Tate following the most recent episode of Emmerdale, with the character finding herself at the mercy of evil Meena Jutla.

In last night's (October 20), Meena tried to kill Victoria Barton by drowning her after the latter fell off a bridge – though Andrea witnessed it all, not helping herself by yelling.

While Victoria thankfully lived, Meena went off to chase Andrea, knowing she'd witnessed her murder attempt – and while she managed to escape from the killer, Andrea ran to the maze still pursued by Meena.

Things were then left on a huge cliffhanger as she was cornered by Meena at a "dead end" sign – the latter deciding to use the sign as a weapon, as the camera cut to Andrea screaming in fear.

While fans will have to wait until tonight to see if Andrea meets her maker, actress Anna Nightingale was pressed on today's This Morning about how she would feel if they did kill her character off.

"Well, I think it's just one of those things," she replied, teasing: "But I think Andrea's a fighter, and she's not going to go down without a fight. Literally."

Anna also teased danger for other characters too, as she was asked what is going to happen next.

"I can tell you there's a lot more to come," the star teased. "It's not just Andrea that's in danger, there's a lot of people involved.

"Obviously we know that Charles is not in a good way, and Manpreet's just left him to go and get help. But he didn't look too good the last time we saw him. So it's not just Andrea, it's a few people."

We certainly can't wait to see what happens.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
