Earlier this week, the 24-year-old Olympian shared a candid message to her followers (specifically addressing the haters) alongside a stunning selfie. “A funny story: people think they know me,” she wrote in the caption. The pic featured Biles looking all glammed up and sporting a white halter top. Her long braids framed her face and draped over her shoulders. See the post below.
Fans and followers showed their support for the athlete in the comments section of the post. “People will always talk....” one IG user wrote, while a second chimed in, “Let em know Simone, they wish they did.”
One individual even took it a step further, adding, “Best story of all, ignore everyone who accuses you of being someone you're not. The most important is believing in yourself.”
No word on where or when the image was taken. However, there’s a good chance it was shot on the road of her current Gold Over America tour. And this isn’t the first time she has been faced with trolls during the tour. After news broke that a handful of shows had to be canceled last month, a few followers who already purchased their tickets decided to take their anger out on Biles. In response to one frustrated fan on Twitter, she wrote, “It’s as disappointing for me as it is for you. I don’t get why you guys attack me though. Just be kind.”
