Fans want to see Dillian Whyte’s MRI scan to see proof of shoulder injury

By Charles Brun: Many fans are highly suspicious about Dillian Whyte’s shoulder injury, and they want to see an MRI scan for him to prove that he’s too hurt to go ahead with his October 30th fight against Otto Wallin.

Is it too much to ask for Whyte to show his MRI scan to the public so they can verify his shoulder injury?

Whyte (28-2, 19 KOs) was supposed to defend his interim WBC heavyweight title against the highly dangerous Swede Wallin (22-1, 14 KOs) in the main event on DAZN at the O2 Arena in London, England.

Late yesterday, Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn revealed the news of Whyte’s shoulder injury and said he wasn’t fit to fight.

Interestingly, Hearn didn’t say a word about rescheduling the fight with Wallin, which has fans believing that it’s a fake injury for Whyte.

The logical thing for Hearn to have said to the fans is that Whyte is injured, and the fight with Wallin would be rescheduled as soon as he’s healed and 100% healthy. Instead of saying the Wallin fight would be rescheduled, this is what Hearn said:

Hearn is looking forward to “seeing him [Whyte] back in the ring shortly.” He didn’t say anything about MRI scans to show the suspicious fans and nothing about rescheduling the fight with Wallin, who worked his backside off training for the fight with Dillian.

Wallin’s promoter Dmitriy Salita is furious about the fight being canceled, and he’s asking the World Boxing Council to say that Whyte must defeat Otto to guarantee his mandatory title shot against WBC heavyweight champion Fury.

The WBC recently ruled that if a fight between Fury (31-0-1, 22 KOs) and IBF/WBA/WBO champion Oleksandr Usyk couldn’t be made within 30 days, then Tyson’s next contest would have to be against his WBC mandatory, which in this case is Whyte.

Now that Whyte has pulled out of his fight with Wallin, he’s now the logical next opponent for Fury.

The WBC didn’t say that Whyte had to beat Wallin to get his guaranteed title shot against Fury.

This is why so many boxing fans are suspicious about Whyte pulling out of his fight with Wallin. He need only pulled out of the battle with Wallin, but he canceled it as well.

This was NOT a postponement. It looks very suspicious of Whyte getting injured shortly after the WBC’s ruling that the mandatory would be next for Fury if he can’t set up an undisputed clash with Usyk.

I am devastated as I had a great camp, was in great shape and had great sparring,” said Whyte. “I was looking forward to knocking Wallin out and would have done so in the first half of the fight.

“I am devastated about not being able to fight on October 30, but I want to thank everyone for all of their support,” said Whyte.

If Whyte is “devastated,” as he says about his injury, why doesn’t he reschedule the fight with Wallin? I’m just saying.

If Dillian is all broken up about how the fight got messed up, he can always reschedule with Wallin.

If Whyte isn’t going to do that and if he’s not going to show the boxing public the MRI scans of his injured shoulder, of course, they’re going to be suspicious of him, and many of them will believe that he faked the injury.

Whyte is facing a risky match against Wallin; he’s now free of that risk because of his shoulder injury and will likely steam ahead to face Fury in his next fight without needing to defeat Otto.

As I mentioned, Wallin’s promoter Salita isn’t happy, and many boxing fans believe that Whyte and his promoters had a reason to pull out of the right to get the more significant payday match against Fury.

Think about it. If Whyte had lost to Wallin, the massive payday he would have received against Fury would be gone.

Wallin was always going to be a risky fight for Whyte, and once the WBC made their ruling, it made Dillian look like a daredevil in choosing to take the match against the Swede.

Whyte has been pushing for a title shot for many years, and now he’s in the position to get it. Even if Fury vacates or is made Franchise champion, Whyte is in an excellent place to scoop up the WBC belt.
