PlayStation Productions has released the first full trailer for the upcoming Uncharted movie.

Starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan, the two-and-half minute trailer is our first full look at our heroes in action. Joining them are Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer and Antonio Banderas as the film’s as yet unnamed villain. However, the party scene is very reminiscent of the one in Uncharted 4 so we’d guess he’s playing Rafe Adler.

In fact, there seems to be inspiration from across the Uncharted series in this trailer. Most obvious is the plane-set piece at the end, which seems to be lifted right from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The film’s director, Ruben Fleischer, is said to have “made the movie for both hardcore fans of the game and those who are not yet familiar with the franchise.”

A post on the PlayStation Blog also confirms Nadine and Sam will be in the movie too. The latter will be a crucial part of the plot, in fact. Nathan & Sully are on the hunt for the former’s long lost brother as well as “the greatest treasure never found”. We’ll get to find out how they fare when the Uncharted movie lands in cinemas on February 18, 2022.  If that’s not enough Nathan Drake in your life, the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is also coming to PlayStation 5 and PC early next year.
