Bianca Belair continues to have a historical year. On Thursday, it was revealed that she reached the number one position on the PWI Women’s 150.

While speaking with Renee Paquette on Oral Sessions, Kristen Ashly debuted the top five women on this year’s list. From number five up to number one, that group includes Thunder Rosa, Britt Baker, Deonna Purrazzo, Utami Hayashishita, and Belair coming in at the top position. She and Awesome Kong in 2008 are the only Black wrestlers to ever reach the top of a PWI list.

Since her debut in NXT back in 2017, Belair has been tagged as a potential star within the promotion. Fans clamored to see her obtain the Women’s NXT title, which remained outside of her grasp. But once she made it to the main roster her star completely took off.

The past 10 months have seen Belair win the Royal Rumble and headline WrestleMania with Sasha Banks – a moment that would win the two women an ESPY award from ESPN. Not only was the match well received, but it was the first time that two people of color headlined WWE’s biggest show of the year.

Even though she would drop the title in controversial fashion to Becky Lynch at SummerSlam, Belair’s star has not dimmed. She was moved over the Monday Night Raw in this year’s edition of the draft and is expected to be a focal point on that brand going forward. She’s scheduled to face Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch in a women’s triple-threat match at WWE Crown Jewel.
