Looks like Dog the Bounty Hunter has officially called it quits on the Brian Laundrie hunt.
Yesterday, news broke that human remains were found near personal belongings of Laundrie in the Myakkahatchee environmental reserve park in Florida, and medical examiners were called in to identify if it was Laundrie’s body or not.
There’s a whole theory that the 23-year-old’s parents dropped off the belongings and remains, as they had visited the location earlier that day and were the ones who reported the findings.
BUT, that’s another story.
Now that law enforcement is finally starting to make some steps in the right direction with the case, Dog announced that he’ll no longer be part of the investigation.
He had this to say to The Sun:
“We are praying for Gabby’s family as yet another day ends with seemingly more questions than answers though it does seem the search for Brian is indeed over.
There will be time to ask questions such as what was the extent of the Laundries’ involvement in aiding Brian. But now we wait.”
Now, ol’ Dog can get back to enjoying his honeymoon with his sixth wife Francie Frane.
According to Steven Bertolino, the attorney for the Laundrie family, there’s a “strong probability” that the human remains found belong to Brian Laundrie.
He made that statement in an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, but added that they are going to wait for forensics to come back.
“The probability is strong that it is Brian’s remains but we are going to wait for the forensic results to come in to verify that.”
Bertolino went on to explain how Brian’s parents were able to locate Brian Laundrie’s items in the woods.
Brian Laundrie is, of course, the prime suspect in the murder of his fiancée Gabby Petito, whose body was found strangulated in Grand Teton National Park.
The two had been on a cross country road trip, however Brian returned home to Florida without her. A week or so later, Gabby was reported missing and Brian went missing as well.
