Gimme Shelter: Meet Phoenix, Dwight and Pam

PHOENIX

Meet Phoenix.

Do you live in an apartment? Or is your idea of doggy exercise or fun a walk around the block? Sorry, wrong number. I’m not for you. I am Phoenix. I’m about 2. I was born into a bad situation, which is why I’ve got a scarred face. But that’s all behind me. I just want a home whose owners have a sense of adventure. I’m a bit jumpy and my energy is too much for young kids. But I am super fun and sweet and just want to be part of your family. I can get along with another dog, as long as he/she wants to get up and go! No cats or other small animals, please. I do love humans, and we could have a lot of fun together.

As told to Bob Ryan, Boston Globe sports columnist emeritus and ESPN commentator.

DWIGHT AND PAM

Meet Dwight and Pam.

Why get one kitten, when you could get two? Are we right? We are Dwight and Pam, adorable (at least that’s what we heard) and fun kittens. Dwight had an eye infection resulting in a loss of an eye, but he gets along just fine. Our foster home has helped make sure we are ready to fit right into a forever family, and we just want a friendly home where we can steal your heart.

As told to Bob Ryan, Boston Globe sports columnist emeritus and ESPN commentator.
