'Red Notice' Trailer: Dwayne Johnson & Ryan Reynolds Team Up To Take Down Gal Gadot This November

Believe it or not, Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot have never worked together on the same movie. All three A-Listers have starred in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, and Reynolds and Gadot worked together on 2016’s “Criminal.” However, the trio has never shared the screen at the same time–until now.

And what better way to bring the three together than the stylish, globetrotting heist comedy, “Red Notice.” The film stars Johnson as an FBI profiler who reluctantly teams up with Reynolds’ con-man as he attempts to take down the world’s greatest art thief: Gal Gadot’s “The Bishop.”

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

When an Interpol-issued Red Notice — the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted— goes out, the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley is on the case. His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he’s forced to partner with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth in order to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, “The Bishop.” The high-flying adventure that ensues takes the trio around the world, across the dance floor, trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle, and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other’s company.

The film also stars Ritu Arya, Chris Diamantopoulous, Tom Choi, Vincenzo Amato, and Brenna Marie Narayan.

“Red Notice” is the third team-up between Johnson and director Rawson Marshal Thurber, after 2016’s “Central Intelligence” and 2018’s “Skyscraper.” Johnson and Thurber developed the new film to spark a bidding war between Hollywood studios for rights to the projects.  Universal won that battle, but after they balked at the movie’s estimated $150 million budget, Netflix snagged its distribution rights.

Thurber also reunites with editor Michael L. Sale and composer Steve Jablonsky, who both worked on “Central Intelligence” and “Skyscraper.”  Markus Förderer, best known stateside for Mike Cahill‘s “Bliss,” is the cinematographer of “Red Notice.”

Will the collective star power of Johnson, Reynolds, and Gadot translate to a runaway success for Netflix with “Red Notice?” Audiences find out when the film hits select theaters on November 5, then streams exclusively on Netflix starting November 12. Check out the new trailer below.
