U.S. Sen. James Lankford took to the Senate floor Wednesday to speak against President Joe Biden's proposed COVID-19 vaccine mandate.The senator from Oklahoma called the mandate harmful, chaotic and counter-productive.>> Related: Stitt: Oklahoma ready to ‘take President Biden to court’ over COVID-19 vaccine mandatesBiden said the COVID-19 pandemic is a global health emergency with millions of people losing their lives. "Science has proved that number to be accurate. But, you know what, I don't get to decide for them. They have to decide for them. I can bring information to them and let them make the decision. But, instead, the president of the United States has stood up and said, 'My patience is wearing thin. You have to do what I say.'"Lankford said even though he and his family are vaccinated, he doesn't want to force people who have concerns.

Biden said the COVID-19 pandemic is a global health emergency with millions of people losing their lives. He added that getting people vaccinated might be the only way to get past it.
