LOW MOOR — The Alleghany County School Board approved several personnel changes Monday.
The changes were approved after the board met in a closed session to discuss personnel matters.
Appointments include Pamela S. Hensley, administrative assistant for Human Resources and Pupil Personnel and Karen R. Willis, administrative assistant for Health Services and Division Support.
The board approved Kellie R. Cash as a teacher assistant at Callaghan Elementary School; Patricia D. Daugherty as a teacher assistant at Mountain View Elementary School; Joyce C. Anderson as a school bus driver at Callaghan Elementary School; Brenda C. Daniels as a school bus attendant; Garth G. Cartwright and Victoria D. Callahan, substitute School bus drivers; Tony R. Quarles and Gregory W. Martin, substitute teachers.
The school board approved Priscilla Y. Balser as girls basketball coach and Christopher D. Phillips as boys basketball coach at Clifton Middle School. At Alleghany High School, the board approved Catherine E. Carr as JV cheerleading head coach and Gregory L. Entsminger as JV boys basketball head coach. Volunteer assistant coaches approved included Cameron Hyler for wrestling and Robert Griffith for indoor track.
The board accepted the resignations of B. Scott Liptrap, varsity softball head coach and April R. Dilley, spring musical assistant coach.
The school board accepted the resignations of Victoria D. Callaghan and Crystal L. Fridley, school bus drivers at Callaghan Elementary School; Roy L. Grimes; health and physical education teacher at Clifton Middle School, effective Oct. 15; and Lorie C. Bess, administrative assistant to the superintendent, effective Nov. 15.
