A pilot is okay after a rocky take-off at Dallas Executive Airport yesterday.

Just around 4:00 p.m. report say a single-engine Cessna 210 Centurion was taking off when it apparently ran off the end of the runway into a grassy area.

Once it hit the grass, the plane flipped upside down and came to rest wheels up with the cockpit pretty heavily damaged. Even so the pilot apparently was not hurt according to reports.

Several Dallas Fire-Rescue units in southwest Dallas were initially called out but they were turned around once it was apparent there were no injuries.

The aircraft is registered to a company in Austin but it's not clear what the pilot's flight plan was. The Centurion is a six-seater but it appears the pilot was the only on aboard.
