45% of Des Moines County fully vaccinated

Burlington, IA-  According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, roughly 45 % of Des Moines County residents are fully vaccinated.

The Hawk Eye reports that about 17,870 people, or about 45%, of people in Des Moines County, are fully vaccinated, while 19,321 people, or about 49%, have received at least one dose.

The CDC considers a person fully vaccinated when they have had two doses of a two-shot variety of the vaccine or received a single dose variety.

Iowa reported 469,519 total positive cases on Wednesday, a 2% increase from the previous week.

55% of people in the state of Iowa are now fully vaccinated.
