The Red Sox used Nathan Eovaldi in the bullpen to try and take Game Four, knowing that he would have been in line for Game Six. That outing, as expected, is not going to prevent him from making the start on Friday. (Peter Abraham; Boston Globe)

In that relief appearance, however, the team noticed there may have been some mechanical issues for Eovaldi. They will surely be figuring that out before his start in Game Six. (Alexandra Francisco; NESN)

Eovaldi will certainly be looking for a more, er, agreeable zone for this outing, too. (Jason Mastrodonato; Boston Herald)

Jen McCaffrey has a cool story on the Red Sox front office and where they all gather to watch these playoff games. (Jen McCaffrey; The Athletic)

Matt Vautour has some takeaways from Game Five, including a continued recent inability from this offense to get the big hit. (Matt Vautour; Masslive)

The highlight of Wednesday night was probably this fan catching a broken bat. (Tom Westerholm; Boston.com)
