U.S. Settles Business Suit Over ‘Unlawfully’ Denied H-1B Visas

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will issue new guidance on H-1B visas for market research analysts as part of a settlement with several businesses that accused the agency of “routinely and unlawfully” denying their petitions for high-skilled workers.

MadKudu Inc., Quick Fitting Inc., Hanguang International Inc., and 2nd Street USA Inc. brought a class action against USCIS last year after the agency said the analyst positions didn’t meet the definition of “specialty occupation” for the visa program.
