The district attorney for Westchester County, New York, reportedly subpoenaed records from the Trump National Golf Club to examine financial dealings related to the property in a previously undisclosed investigation into former President Donald Trump’s family business.

The town of Ossining, which sets property taxes on the golf course, was also subpoenaed in recent months, the New York Times reported Wednesday.

District Attorney Mimi Rocah, a Democrat and prominent critic of the former president, has not accused anyone within his family organization of wrongdoing, and no charges have been filed.

A Trump Organization spokesperson told the Washington Examiner on Wednesday that the suggestion in the report that the investigation appears to be focused, at least in part, on whether the Trump Organization inappropriately misled local officials about the property value to lower property tax bill is “completely false and incredibly irresponsible.”

The representative also said the inquiry is a continuation of a “witch hunt” against Trump.

Separately, New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. are investigating the business practices of Trump’s business empire.

The Trump Organization, Trump Payroll, and CFO Allen Weisselberg pleaded not guilty in July to a 15-year tax fraud scheme. Weisselberg, 74, is accused of avoiding taxes on about $1.7 million of his income.

Trump himself was not implicated in what prosecutors called a “sweeping and audacious” effort to avoid taxes on certain forms of compensation for top executives.
