Embraer has signed a component pool agreement with newly-formed Air Montenegro, and renewed a similar agreement with TAP Express — covering both carriers’ fleets of E-jets.
With Air Montenegro, Embraer says the agreement will support “a wide range of repairable components” for the two E-jets in its fleet. The carrier began operations in June, taking over from Montenegro Airlines, which collapsed in late-2020.
As for TAP Express — the regional arm of flag carrier TAP Air Portugal — Embraer says the contract will include “broad support for components” for its E-jets. Cirium fleets data shows the carrier operates 13 E-jets, comprising nine E190s and four E195s.
TAP Express, formerly known as PGA-Portugália Airlines, has been a prolific Embraer regional jet operator since, having previously operated ERJ-145 aircraft.
The contract renewal builds upon an existing relationship between both parties that began in 1998.
Embraer, which announced the agreements during the MRO Europe event, says its pool programme currently supports more than 50 carriers.
