The lawn outside of the Glynn County Courthouse has been full of supporters calling for justice for Ahmaud Arbery every day of jury selection this week.
Wednesday, members of the Arbery family said the group of supporters has become like family to them.
“It makes you feel good to know you ain't in this by yourself. It takes a village, and this is our village,” said Diane Arbery, an aunt of Ahmaud’s.
The group spent hours Tuesday night holding a prayer service for the trial and Arbery family.
Diane said this support is making a tough week a little bit easier.
“That’s what keeps us going and keeps us strong, because the more people pray, God hears somebody crying about the Arbery family,” she said.
Members of the Arbery family said they feel the jury selection process is moving slowly, but if it means finding the right jurors for the case, they will show up every day.
