On the outside, the Philadelphia 76ers are a huge mess because of the Ben Simmons drama. However, according to head coach Doc Rivers, that's not entirely true.

While there's no doubt Simmons' situation with the team has some sort of effect–perhaps causing frustration for some–Rivers emphasized that the Sixers' overall chemistry is really great. In fact, he went as far as to quoting Stephen Curry to describe the current status of the team.

“[Stephen Curry said] the execution is not always perfect but the chemistry is tight. I feel that way about our team,” the Sixers coach shared, per team reporter Lauren Rosen.

Ben Simmons has been kicked out of the Sixers' previous practice because he refused to join a defensive drill when Doc Rivers asked him to. He was then suspended for their season opener against the Pelicans for what Philly said as conduct detrimental to the team.

Such series of events certainly has a negative impact to the team. After all, it's never good to have a player who doesn't want to be there in the first place. It just dampens spirits and demotivates others.

Despite the situation, though, Doc Rivers seems to be confident about the mentality of his team. It appears that he's saying one player won't make or break their season while emphasizing that they have grown by leaps and bounds with the players they have.
