Known more commonly as PAWS, the Perry Area Winter Swim team is currently accepting registrations for the 2021-2022 season.
The team is open to boys and girls ages 6-18. Those interested must show they can swim one length of the McCreary Community Building pool using proper technique.
Practices begin Nov. 4, with the regular season ending Feb. 5. All meets are held on Saturdays, and swimmers may choose which meets they will attend.
Cost is $80 for the first swimmer in a family and $60 for each additional swimmer.
Practices for ages 10 and under are held each Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-7:30 p.m. and Sundays 4-5 p.m. Those 11 and older will practice 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 4-5:30 p.m. Sundays.

A member of the Greater Iowa Swim League, PAWS will be coached this season by Dana Stein, with Weston Lucht assisting. Nikki Deardorff is the parental contact and coordinator of volunteers.
