Cleveland Browns Vs. Denver Broncos Score Predictions

I know what you are thinking.

I continue to pick the Browns and have been wrong three times this season already.

This is a show-me game.

I don’t know who is playing in all of the positions because of injuries, but the Browns have too much pride to drop to 3-4.

Coaching will be on point, and the players on the field will give it their all.

D’Ernest Johnson is getting his first NFL start, and the rookie Demetric Felton will be another star in the backfield.

In the end, a battered Browns team will earn a gut check victory in a low-scoring game where they run the ball often, control the time of possession, and eek out a win.

My Prediction: Browns 13, Broncos 10

A season that began with such promise took another giant step back last Sunday when the Browns were embarrassed at home by a superior Arizona squad.

Making matters worse, Cleveland has to turn around and play again on Thursday.

The health of the current roster is akin to a MASH unit, with at least 20 players on the injured list.

Denver comes to town with a record identical to the 3-3 Browns.

Both teams began the season well but have struggled as of late.

The Broncos have an offense ranked 22nd in the league and a defense ranked 4th.

Browns fans can only hope their team ends their two-game slide, but the injury report is concerning.

If the team is without any semblance of a running game and consistent quarterback play, it may lead to loss number four.

I’m going to try and remain optimistic and hope what’s left of the team plays with some pride.

My Prediction: Browns 24, Broncos 20

The past couple of weeks, I’ve argued the Browns could beat a pair of excellent teams.

Now I am trying to convince myself they can handle one of the worst.

If any team is in more trouble than the Browns, it is Denver.

They come in on a 3-game losing streak and with a coach facing lots of questions.

Their quarterback is limping around the locker room insisting he will play behind an injured offensive line.

They just lost their best linebacker and have a few other defenders fighting through injuries.

Sound familiar?

They are us… only we have better players and the home-field advantage on a short week.

This should be easier than it might look, but…

My Prediction: Browns 23, Broncos 16

The Broncos have lost three straight games heading into the Thursday Night Football game against the Browns.

However, injuries have decimated the Browns.

The following players won’t play Thursday night: Baker Mayfield (shoulder), Nick Chubb (calf), Kareem Hunt (calf) and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (ankle).

Case Keenum will play in place of Mayfield, who had started 51 consecutive games.

It’s unclear whether the following players will play: Odell Beckham Jr. (shoulder), Jarvis Landry (knee), Jedrick Wills Jr. (ankle) and Jack Conklin (knee).

The Browns’ injuries are so severe, that oddsmakers don’t have a spread on the game as of Wednesday morning.

The Browns originally opened as 5.5-point favorites.

Given the Browns’ injuries, I think the Broncos find a way to win in Cleveland.

My Prediction: Broncos 31, Browns 24

The injury bug can be a nasty one in the NFL. In a short week, it gets even worse.

That’s life for the Cleveland Browns who will enter Thursday night’s contest with backup quarterback Case Keenum at the helm.

With a depleted offense around him, it could be tough sledding for the former Viking.

Finding easy, quick-hitting plays early to establish a rhythm will be crucial.

For the Denver Broncos, Von Miller needs to show up.

He’s been quiet during Denver’s losing streak, but a matchup with James Hudson Thursday night could rekindle some of the fire.

It’s a pivotal game for both sides.

Unfortunately for Cleveland, a battered sideline may be too much to overcome.
