Awfully "coincidental", I think. Whatever happened with him, I think his parents knew everything from the very beginning. I believe they knew what had happened before he ever even made it back home in her van. They had all the time in the world to destroy evidence, cover his tracks, seek counsel, and help their son get away with murder. They should be charged.

There’s no doubt. His parents knew where he was. They gave him time. I had a feeling he was not going to found alive. To pay for his crime. Police knew parents were contacting their son. And would lead them to him. They should be charged. If they would have just told them where he was. There might have been time to get him alive. And they refused to give him up. His death is on his parents hands.
