Two Dunkirk residents were arrested on charges stemming from a burglary at a residence on Lake Shore Drive East in the city on Tuesday. Dunkirk Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress just after 6:00 PM, with two subjects forcing entry into the residence. As officers were clearing the residence, 37-year-old Jesus Ramos (left) and 39-year-old Alejandro Gonzalez-Virola (right) were taken into custody. Police say an amount of property belonging to the residents was found to be in their possession, along with a crowbar. Ramos and Gonzalez-Virola were taken back to Dunkirk Police headquarters, where they were booked on charges of 2nd-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, and petit larceny. Both men were arraigned in Dunkirk City Court and then transported to the Chautauqua County Jail. City police were assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and the Fredonia Police Department.
