Brian Laundrie Search: Authorities Have Discovered 5 Bodies of Missing Persons During Manhunt
As the search for Gabby Petito’s missing boyfriend Brian Laundrie continues, authorities have revealed they have discovered at least five bodies of missing persons during the now infamous manhunt.
According to the New York Post, one of the bodies was in the Yadkin Valley Overlook, which is in North Carolina. Where Brian Laundrie may have been hiding. Although the FBI did confirm it was not Laundrie, the body found was identified as 33-year-old Josue Calderon.
Meanwhile, authorities in Wyoming also discovered the body of the missing 46-year-old Texas father, Robert Lowery. Brian Laundrie’s now well-known manhunt had some credit, due to the fact that tips continued to roll in for Lowery’s disappearance.
The bodies discovered were identified as 55-year-old Sara Bayard in El Paso County, Colorado; and 30-year-old Lauren “El” Cho, in California’s Yucca Valley Desert.
Brian Laundrie is still a person of interest in the death of Gabby Petito. Petito last spoke to her parents on August 25th. However, Laundrie returned to Florida at the beginning of September. But he refused to speak to the police about Petito’s disappearance.
Brian Laundrie later went missing in mid-September after apparently going on a hike in the Carlton Reserve in Sarasota County. Petito’s remains were found in the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming days after Laundrie’s disappearance.
FBI Finds Items of Interest Belong to Brian Laundrie
As previously reported, the FBI confirms finding items that belong to Brian Laundrie at the Carlton Reserve on Wednesday. An evidence response team is now processing the area.
Along with the items of interest, the North Port Police requested a human remains detection team to go to the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park to help with the search for the 23-year-old man.
A law enforcement source did confirm to ABC News there are remains in the environmental park. Investigators are now working to determine whether or not the remains are human. They are also determining whether the remains are in connection to Brian Laundrie as well.
The Laundries’ Attorney Reveals Brian’s Parents Are Helping With the Search
Meanwhile, the Laundrie family’s attorney Steve Bertolino also confirms that Brian Laundrie’s parents Chris and Roberta went to the Myakkahatchee Environmental Park to help search for their son. The attorney also stated, “As of now, law enforcement is conducting a more thorough investigation in that area.”
Up until recently, Brian Laundrie’s parents did not involve themselves in the case. Authorities contacted Chris to help assist in the search a couple of weeks ago.
Gabby Petito’s mother, Nichole Schmidt recently shared that she believes that the Laundries definitely know most of the information about her daughter’s passing. “I think silence speaks volumes. I believe they know. If not everything. They know most of the information.”
Schmidt goes on to add that she would love to face to face ask why the Laundries are remaining silent. “Just tell me the truth.”
