Take gaming to the next level with GameSir’s X2 mobile gaming controller

Gaming on mobile devices is very common these days. In fact, it’s actually really great business for developers who are earning oodles of money from in-app purchases and ads. The downside to mobile gaming is that it largely relies on touch control, which is fine for some games, but not so great for others.

For example, touch controls are terrible when it comes to action games like fighting games, and more so for racing games where having physical controls actually feels a lot better. If you agree, then maybe it’s time to invest in a gaming controller for your phone.

There are many controllers out there, but if you hate the idea of having to prop your phone up while you play, then perhaps the GameSir X2 controller could be the controller for you.

The X2 features controls on both sides of it. One side is for the one of the analog sticks and directional buttons, while the other side features another analog stick with action buttons. There are also four shoulder buttons for additional controls.

On the back of the controller, it features the use of soft rubber grips so that it’ll be easier for you to grip the controller while you’re gaming, it’s especially useful if you have sweaty hands or are playing for an extended period of time. There is even a dedicated button that lets you quickly and easily grab screenshots whenever you need it.

Multiple device support

Now the problem with some gaming controllers similar to the X2 is that it can be limited in terms of compatibility. This is because there are so many phones of varying sizes and shapes that you can’t really fault some companies for focusing on just a few higher-end devices.

But that’s where the X2 differs from the competition. It is available in USB-C and Lighting versions which means that it will support Android devices and iPhones. It also features a rather interesting connector which can move up and down to make it easier to slot the phone into place instead of trying to force it in and risk damage to the connector and port.

It is also expandable so it can accommodate a variety of phones in differing sizes. According to GameSir, it will fit devices with a maximum length of 167mm and a maximum thickness of 1cm.

Pass-through charging

Obviously playing games means you’ll end up using a lot of battery, but the GameSir X2 will support pass-through charging, meaning that you can connect a cable to the controller, which will then charge devices that are connected to it.

According to GameSir, devices supported for pass-through charging include:

Pricing and availability

All in all, the GameSir X2 is a pretty decent gaming controller for your mobile device. Not only does it look good, but the wide variety of support for Android devices and iPhones makes it easy for you to pick up and use with your current device as well as future ones. It is also priced decently at $70, so head on over to Amazon if you’d like to grab one for yourself.
