A Milton man is facing multiple charges after deputies said he shot another man twice Tuesday night.
Shaquille Anthony Barnwell, 28, of Milton is accused of shooting John Henry Wells during an altercation along Hayleigh Street in Milton, according to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.
Barnwell was arraigned Wednesday morning on two counts of wanton endangerment, malicious wounding and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Deputies said Barnwell shot Wells with a handgun after Wells refused to leave the residence. Wells was struck once in his left cheek and again in his chest. No condition on Wells was immediately available.
Barnwell is being held in Western Regional Jail on a $120,000 cash-only bond.

The sheriff in Cabell County said an investigation was underway after a man was shot at least once in the chest.
The shooting happened about 6 p.m. Tuesday on Hayleigh Street in Milton.
Zerkle said the man was taken to the hospital, but his condition was not immediately available.
A man who was at the home when the shooting occurred was at the residence and was detained without incident, the sheriff said. No charges have been filed.
It appears the two men know each other.
The investigation into the shooting continues.
