Jason Momoa has suffered several injuries while filming 'Aquaman' sequel: 'I'm getting old'

Jason Momoa is a part-time superhero, but he's not superhuman.

"I'm getting old," the 42-year-old actor said on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

Momoa videoed in to the daytime talk show from London, where he's filming the highly anticipated sequel "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" and has suffered several injuries while playing the titular DC character.

"I messed up my eyes and just got something in it that kind of cut it up, and then I got to get surgery, a hernia," he explained. "I got to get ribs out. I'm just getting beat up. But it's gonna be a great movie! You're gonna love it."

Momoa assured that he loves his job, even though he's "an aging superhero right now."

Outside of the "Aquaman" franchise, which premiered in 2018, he stars in Apple TV Plus series "See" as well as Denis Villeneuve's forthcoming sci-fi blockbuster "Dune," out Friday.

"Dune" also involved an injury — courtesy of Timothée Chalamet, the film's lead.

"[Chalamet] is definitely top-five ball-busters of my life," Momoa told DeGeneres. "He definitely made it into the top five. We had a scene where we were running to each other, and he just put that knee right into me. But he didn't take me down. He didn't take me down."
