Ex-Batwoman star Ruby Rose has alleged that her former costar, Dougray Scott, “abused women” on set of the CW series.

Today, the actress took to her Instagram stories to share the working conditions she faced while starring on Batwoman‘s first season, from being forced to return to work just 10 days after undergoing surgery for an on-set injury to allegedly witnessing executives and coworkers exhibit inappropriate behavior.

Rose went on to call out Scott (who played her on-screen father, Jacob Kane) for his treatment of women behind-the-scenes. “Dougray hurt a female stunt double, he yelled like a little bitch at women and was a nightmare,” she wrote. “He left when he wanted and arrived when he wanted. He abused women and in turn as a lead of a show I sent an email asking for a no yelling policy, they declined.”

She added that after leaving the hospital, her costar Camrus Johnson (who plays Luke Fox/Batwing) criticized her for being late to set, saying, “Well, maybe if people were not late to set we would make our days.” In Rose’s words, he was an “egomaniac kid who worked one day a week.”

Among the allegations, Rose also said that the show’s producers were responsible for her multiple on-set injuries, including a serious neck injury, a broken rib, and a tumor. She revealed that she returned to work so soon after surgery because Warner Bros. Television Studios president Peter Roth reportedly threatened to recast her role and fire cast and crew members if she spent more time recovering.

Additionally, the actress detailed multiple other on-set injuries, including one that gave a crew member third degree burns, and another that left a stunt performer quadriplegic. Rose argued that the latter accident occurred because showrunner Caroline Dries insisted on finishing Season 1 throughout the pandemic while other CW series shut down, despite allegedly only visiting the set four times in a year. She also slammed Roth, who she says made women steam his pants while he was wearing them, and later hired a private investigator to trail her after she left Batwoman.

“I wouldn’t return to [the show] for any amount of money nor if a gun were to my head,” Rose wrote. “They ruined Kate Kane and they destroyed Batwoman, not me. I followed orders, and if I wanted to stay I was going to have to sign my rights away. Any threats, any bullying tactics or blackmail will not make me stand down.”
