RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY Featurette Shows How Faithful The Film is To The Games

Sony Pictures has released a featurette for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City and it features writer and director Johannes Roberts talking about the film and how faithful the adaptation will be to the source material. It also features side-by-side comparisons between the scenes from the film and the game from its locations to its character and set designs. I also included a new poster that was released for the film.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City takes place on a fateful night in Raccoon City in 1998, “once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.”

The cast includes Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, Robbie Amell, Tom Hopper, and Avan Jogia, with Donal Logue, and Neal McDonough.

The movie is supposed to hit theaters on November 24th, 2021.
