Group beats taxi driver, steals car in Brooklyn; $3,500 reward offered

NEW YORK (1010 WINS NEWS) — Police are looking to identify a group of men wanted for attacking a taxi driver then carjacking him in Brooklyn earlier this month.

At approximately 11:20 p.m., on October 10, a group of six individuals entered the 25-year-old male victim's taxi in front of 20 Fayette Street in Bushwick, after he was called to the location for service, authorities said.

Once inside, the suspects struck the victim on the head with an unknown object and threatened him, according to officials.

The group then pulled the victim out of his vehicle, a Nissan Rouge, before fleeing in it.

The victim refused medical attention.

The NYPD is offering a reward of up to $3,500 in connection to this incident.

An investigation remains ongoing.
