Bud Light offers Chiefs fans free beer for TE Travis Kelce's Tight End University win

Named the winner of a Top Golf challenge related to this summer’s renowned Tight End University summit, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce secured fans around the KC metro free beer.

Fans 21 and older can look forward to redeeming their freebies at various local bars in Waldo, Downtown, and the Crossroads on the Missouri side during this weekend’s tilt with the Tennessee Titans. Alternatively, where laws are different in the Sunflower State, free six-packs of Bud Light will be distributed in Kansas City, Kansas to celebrate Kelce’s feat.

The offer is only valid on Sunday, October 24th, so fans will need to be diligent to get their value from the promotion while it lasts. Kelce shared the news that the bargain was officially being extended on Tuesday morning, posting a link on Twitter that explained the promotion to fans who had just days earlier seen him rack up nearly 100 yards in the Chiefs’ matchup against Washington.

While this marketing campaign is ultimately centered around National Tight End day, Kelce’s run of dominance extends well past any one day, or week, or matchup. On pace for another 1,000-yard and double-digit touchdown season through six games in 2021, Kelce has been an absolute monster for Kansas City so far this season, anchoring an offense that has at times struggled to find its footing.

It is only fitting that Bud Light chose to sponsor a tight end of his caliber, given the Chiefs star’s viral celebratory championship moment of drinking one off of the Lombardi Trophy. They were without a doubt a key partner, even if unofficially, of the festivities at Kansas City’s Super Bowl parade. Beers were tossed like touchdowns between Kelce and Mahomes on top of the team bus mid-route.

Fans are sure to be excited for an offer of this caliber, and will likely muster some extra cheers to Kelce for bringing them the glory that comes with having the best tight end in the league on their favorite team. They’ll need to be extra raucous when the Chiefs take on the Titans this weekend, and free beer seems like a perfect motivator.
