Former NBA Player Delonte West is facing charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest in Boynton Beach.
Police said West, who played for four NBA teams including the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers, showed up at the police department banging on the glass doors to the lobby on Tuesday night.
Police said West, 38, had an open can of Ice House beer and Mango vodka in his hands. He was screaming profanities. As he walked away, police ordered him to stop, which West refused. He eventually complied with orders to put the alcohol on the ground. Police said he stood back up again and started to put his hands inside the waistband of his pants. That's when an officer pulled out a Taser and ordered him to his knees with his hands in the air. Officers then put him in handcuffs.
According to the arrest report, West smelled of alcohol, had slowed and slurred speech, and continued to be belligerent in the back of the patrol car.
West also faces a charge of having an open container.
