DFW Healthcare Brief: SmartLight’s New Plano HQ, Soleo Health Makes the Top 50, and More

Healthcare claims analyst company SmartLight Analytics has opened a new Plano headquarters in response to its growing team of data and clinical experts working to reduce healthcare spending by self-funded employers. The company’s 19 employees work with employers such as Dean Foods, Prudential, and the City of Fort Worth.


Specialty pharmacy services provider Soleo Health has been named to the Dallas Business Journal‘s annual list of the 50 Fastest growing Middle Market Companies, which ranks Dallas-Fort Worth area organizations with annual revenue of $10 million to $1 billion.


Two UT Southwestern Medical Center researchers are among 33 scientists named to the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigators, bringing the medical center’s total to 14 with the distinction. Vincent Tagliabracci, associate professor of molecular biology, and Benjamin Tu, professor of biochemistry, received the honor. They both work for UT Southwestern’s Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. 


CVS Pharmacy and MinuteClinic locations are now offering the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 booster shot to eligible populations,  including 495 locations in Texas. People 65 and older and and residents in long-term care settings should receive the booster, as well as those w50-64 with underlying medical conditions. High risk adults are also eligible. Appointments can be made at CVS.com.
