After two months of verbal flubs, the inability to push his agenda through Congress, and the deadly Afghanistan withdrawal disaster, the number of voters who feel that President Joe Biden isn’t up to the job has spiked.
In the latest Rasmussen Reports survey, 58% of respondents said they are not confident that the first-year president “is physically and mentally up to the job of being president of the United States.”
In the poll, previewed for Secrets, 28% of Democrats said they were concerned, joining 83% of Republicans who said they weren’t confident in Biden’s abilities.
In August, when Rasmussen asked the same question, just half, or 50% of voters, said they were not confident he was up to the job.

In that Aug. 20 survey, the polling outfit also asked if voters felt that Biden was actually doing his job or if others were making decisions for him “behind the scenes.”
Then, 51% said others were doing his job. That has increased to 53% in the new survey.
The troubling results come as other surveys continue to show poor approval ratings for Biden. A new poll has his approval at 38%.
