Day 1 of the 2021-22 NBA season was a success for the Milwaukee Bucks, as they were able to make a huge statement right away. The Bucks defeated the Brooklyn Nets in a battle of NBA title contenders Tuesday night in Milwaukee, with Jrue Holiday and company scoring a 127-104 win. However, it was not an entirely rosy game for the Bucks mostly because they saw Holiday's night end prematurely after suffering a bruised right heel.

Holiday is an integral piece for the Bucks, so seeing him get hurt is understandably worrisome for Milwaukee. However, the injury doesn't seem to be anything serious enough to get him sidelined for multiple games, with Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer sounding optimistic when asked about the guard's MRI results, per Jim Owczarski.

Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer said guard Jrue Holiday has a heel contusion and a MRI came back clean. “Everything’s been good, positive.”

Before leaving the Nets game, Holiday was able to play 18 minutes and contribute 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field. The Bucks have a game this Thursday on the road against the Miami Heat, so it'll be telling for his status for that game if the veteran guard travels with the team to South Beach. If Holiday gets ruled out for that contest, George Hill could get a spot start while the load on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton gets a bit heavier.
