CNN anchor John King, a Boston native, announced Tuesday that he has multiple sclerosis and is immunocompromised.King disclosed his diagnosis on his program "Inside Politics" during a discussion about how Gen. Colin Powell, who died of coronavirus complications, was more vulnerable to the virus because he also had cancer."I'm going to share a secret I've never spoken before," King said. "I am immunocompromised. I have multiple sclerosis. So I'm grateful you're all vaccinated."King said he is grateful CNN has mandated that employees be vaccinated and said he worries about contracting COVID-19."I worry about bringing it home to my 10-year-old son who can't get the vaccine. I don't like the government telling me what to do. I don't like my boss telling me what to do. In this case, it is important."King joined CNN in May 1997 and became chief national correspondent in April 2005.
