Millions of Americans could be eligible for COVID-19 boosters as soon as the end of the week

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention vaccine advisers are meeting today to discuss the booster shots for Moderna and Johnson and Johnson and who should get them.
If the CDC agrees, eligibility could be expanded to millions of Americans as soon as the end of the week.
On Thursday, the CDC panel will also talk about mixing and matching vaccines.
Pfizer already has authorization for booster doses of its vaccine for certain people who had their first round of shots at least six months ago.
Later this month, the CDC's vaccine advisers plan to meet to discuss pediatric COVID-19 vaccines.
