UPDATE

According to Jake Weingarten, Robert Dillingham has been offered a scholarship by the Kentucky Wildcats.

Dillingham joins DJ Wagner, Reed Sheppard, Elijah Fisher, J.J. Taylor and Mackenzie Mgbako as the 2023 recruits with scholarship offers from Kentucky.

Recruiting never stops.

As John Calipari tries to add the finishing pieces to the 2022 class, he is off and running trying to get a head start on his top prospects in 2023.

After hosting 5-star players DJ Wagner and Mackenzie Mgbako this past weekend for Big Blue Madness, the staff will be hosting another top-10 player this weekend.

Travis Branham of 247 Sports reports that 5-star point guard Robert Dillingham will be in Lexington this weekend for an official visit.

The 6-foot-1 guard from Charlotte (NC) will be coming off an official visit to LSU this past weekend, and this will be the second official visit he has taken.

He does not yet hold an offer from UK, but after a visit to his school late in September from Calipari and Jai Lucas, perhaps one is announced this weekend. He currently holds offers from North Carolina, LSU, Auburn, Florida, Kansas, Tennessee, Texas, and several others.

Dillingham is known for his blazing speed and ability to get above the rim. A great athlete, he projects to be a solid contributor on the defensive side of the ball, while also using his IQ and good ball handling to create for others and himself. He is a solid shooter but really thrives in transition and in the half-court when he is able to get downhill and finish at the rim.

Coach Calipari and his staff are obviously working hard to land DJ Wagner, but it appears that they have a plan in place to pair the two together as Wagner is also effective off-ball. There is some work to do at this point in his recruitment, as Dillingham had been viewed seen as a UNC lean. It will help some though, that he is now not attending high school in North Carolina, as he transferred to Donda Prep Academy (Kanye West’s new school) in California.

In addition, the most recent Rivals FutureCast pick logged is actually for Memphis to land Dillingham.

Dillingham is currently ranked eighth overall in the 247 Sports Composite rankings, which also have him listed as the No. 1 point guard in the country.
