Von Miller indeed needs to step up his game

The Broncos highest paid player needs to start playing like it.

Von Miller is calling his own number this week after two absolutely abysmal showings in the past two Broncos losses.

I pointed this out in my reviews the past couple of weeks, but it is worth taking the time to point out specifically: Von Miller absolutely can and should be expected to play a hell of a lot better than he has been.

Let’s spell it out using simple-to-understand stats.

Against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Von Miller registered two assists on tackles.

Against the Oakland Raiders, Von Miller upped his game and registered two tackles (solo) and one whole quarterback hit.

Be still, my orange and blue beating heart.

The announcers keep talking about elite speed, but my eyes aren’t seeing it. The moves are the same, but dude looks like he’s running in mud.

Last season the hype with Miller was that he watched the Netflix Michael Jordan story and had an epiphany. Well...where are we with doing more and all that?

While we’re at it, shout out to Graham Glasgow, Kyle Fuller, and Justin Simmons as 3 other guys at the top of the list of most paid in Broncos uniforms that aren’t really living up to their price point.
