6 huge Emmerdale spoilers for next week

Next week on Emmerdale, the police start asking questions after the disastrous chain of events at the survival challenge.

Elsewhere, Gabby goes into labour, and Leyla considers confronting Liam about his secret.

Here's a full collection of six big moments coming up.

1. An arrest is made

Next week's episodes open with the villagers still in shock, after the survival adventure challenge organised by Priya and Ellis ended in death and disaster.

DS Rogers, who's overseeing a police investigation, arrives at the hospital and starts asking some tough questions about exactly what happened.

Before long, a finger is pointed and an arrest is made.

2. Diane makes preparations to leave

Elizabeth Estensen, who recently announced her retirement, is making her final appearance as Diane next week.

As Diane continues with her plans to leave the village, Eric offers to buy her share of the B&B. There's a touching moment between them as it becomes clear how much they'll miss each other.

Diane also visits the pub and shares a box of Woolpack memories with Chas and Bernice. She agrees to Chas' idea of a farewell party, although there's a danger it could risk exposing Gabby's secret plans to leave with her.

3. Gabby loses patience with Kim

Gabby heads to Laurel's for a family dinner, planning to use the occasion as a secret goodbye. Afterwards, she's overwhelmed as she reflects on what she'll be leaving behind when she goes.

Later, Gabby loses patience with Kim's irrational behaviour at Home Farm and makes it very clear that she'll have no access to the baby. Gabby realises the risk of giving the game away and tells Diane that they'll have to leave sooner than planned.

4. Gabby goes into labour

As Gabby tries to pack her bags without Kim knowing, she suffers sudden pains in her stomach. She persists by trying to get her suitcase out of Home Farm, but soon collapses to the floor and realises that she's in labour.

The timing couldn't be worse, as there's nobody around to help Gabby, no charge on her phone and the house is in darkness due to a power cut.

Diane and Bernice are oblivious as they prepare to collect Gabby and escape from the village. How long will it take them to realise what's going on?

5. Leyla confides in Tracy

When Tracy invites Leyla around for a catch-up, it gives Leyla the opportunity to confide in her about Liam's secret visits to his old home.

The next day, Liam continues to lie to Leyla as he claims to be getting ready for work. Tracy suggests that it's time Leyla pushed Liam for some answers, as it's clear that the troubling situation can't go on.

6. Mack has a new criminal idea

Mack and Charity seem closer than ever as they become determined to get themselves involved in more mischief.

When Mack hears more from Charity about Chloe's wealthy background, he decides this could be an opportunity for both of them.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
