Miami’s third-string QB comments provide bulletin board material for NC State Defense

You realized there’s cameras around you, right?

NC State has a primetime matchup with Miami, in a stadium where the fans have been practicing social distancing since 2005. Miami’s former third-string quarterback Tyler Van Dyke is now the starter with D’Eriq King out for the season and N’Kosi Perry transferred to FAU. He had some choice words when asked about his thoughts on NC State’s defense:

“NC State has a great defense. What are they, like, top something in the country.. top whatever. I mean, that doesn’t matter. Still the same guys we played last year. We put up 44 points last year on them. They have a few different type of wrinkles on defense, but we feel really confident... I don’t think they can really stop us.”

On the one hand, you can applaud the young man’s confidence. On the other, I hope the Pack play this on a loop this week. You think Isaiah Moore isn’t going to be hounding his guys reminding them about last year’s game? I’m sure that taste is still bitter for them. I can’t wait for this game now.
