Zillow was buying houses “as is” at near retail rates. Anyone with half a brain knows that you can’t buy at full value, hold it for months, do a significant repair/remodel project and then sell it for a profit. It is no wonder their stock has tanked for the last 6 months.

hmmm, flipping is difficult when you can't get contractors at "affordable" rates. flipping is even more difficult when the market is being restrained by the appraisers that are actually doing their job, and not a praising on speculation. good that it is falling flat. I don't understand why they needed to tell the world about it...

Notice the companies who are still buying stocks are up while Zillow is down. Think the problem is Zillow not the markets.
