Mac Miller's 'Faces' Projected to Make Billboard 200 Debut at No. 3
Seven years after the mixtape was released.
Mac Miller‘s 2014 mixtape Faces is now projected to make its Billboard 200 debut at No. 3 shortly after it hit streaming services for the first time.
According to Chart Data, the seven-year-old project will earn a total of 63,000 equivalent album units — enough to put it behind Drake‘s Certified Lover Boy and Young Thug‘s PUNK, which are both tightly competing for the No. 1 spot.
Faces arrived on streaming platforms last week and was the last mixtape Miller released in his lifetime. Josh Berg, the late artist’s engineer during the time of Faces, also recently explained the reason why Miller didn’t sign with JAY-Z’s Roc-A-Fella — a topic the rapper touched on in the mixtape cut “Here We Go.” Berg shared, “He didn’t sign to Roc-A-Fella because he was like, ‘I’m not gonna have it be that I needed the Jay-Z feature to get famous, for people to validate me and then people think it’s about that validation.’”
