Port Wentworth Police investigating death on Horne Place

PORT WENTWORTH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Port Wentworth Police Department is investigating a death that occurred on Horne Place.
The police department said it was requested to conduct a welfare check at a home on Tuesday, Oct. 19.
There were also gunshots reported in the area, but according to police, there were no shots fired.
The investigation is ongoing and the police department states there is no threat to the community.
