Longtime Fox News business host Neil Cavuto revealed on Tuesday he has tested positive for COVID-19,
Cavuto, who did not host his show, Your World, on Tuesday as he was required to stay home to prevent spreading the virus, was vaccinated and said the jab prevented his case from being worse.

“While I’m somewhat stunned by this news, doctors tell me I’m lucky as well,” Cavuto said in a statement released through Fox News Media and obtained by the Washington Examiner. “Had I not been vaccinated, and with all my medical issues, this would be a far more dire situation. It’s not, because I did and I’m surviving this because I did.”
Cavuto, 63, revealed on Aug. 5 he had been vaccinated against COVID-19.
Such infections are called “breakthrough cases.” The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the vaccines may not be “100% effective at preventing illness,” but it stressed that the “risk of infection, hospitalization, and death are all much lower in vaccinated people compared to unvaccinated.”
Cavuto, who has contended with serious health conditions throughout his adult life, encouraged those who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 to get inoculated.
“I hope anyone and everyone gets that message loud and clear,” his statement read. “Get vaccinated, for yourself and everyone around you.”
