'And then I got kicked off, I got banned. And then I tried again, I got the courage up because I heard that you were on, and I heard that Sharon Stone was on.'
Stone has said she tried the dating app Bumble in 2019 but was kicked off. In 2020 the Basic Instinct star was restored.
'So I was like, "Well if they can be on, I can be on." So I went on as myself and it took a lot of courage to do it…
'I had a date with someone planned and the day I went in to find out about the date where we were meeting or whatever, I had been banned, poor guy. So I got kicked off as myself too.'
Barrymore then talked about her own dating experience.
'I had to change the algorithm on my dating app because there was nobody there until I lowered the age a little bit,' said the Never Been Kissed actress.
'I am not looking for a younger person, I have already been through a lot of life experience. I am not looking to raise someone else.'
She has been married three times: to Will Kopelman (m. 2012–2016), Tom Green (m. 2001–2002), Jeremy Thomas (m. 1994–1995).
Alicia said, 'I hear you. I agree with you and I never want to be ageist so I try to be open because I also know there are some people who are younger who are really deeply evolved and have done so much work on themselves and are present and connected and way more mature than the 50-year-old. Case by case.'
And Drew also said she had a 'red flag date' recently where he talked about himself a lot, but that was not the upsetting part.
'It was awful not because they didn’t make it about me,' said the Wedding Singer star.
'I’m actually refreshed when they don’t. The red flag was more that this person was, I don’t know where they were, they were just too caught up in their own B.S….
'Well he didn’t try to act like he was so great. He acted disinterested and everything and then he also opened up the date by telling me about the affair he had on his ex-wife….And then he was like, "And now we can go to the dinner,’" and I was like, "Ohhhh."'
Alicia said to not have dinner with the dates, just tea: 'Get in and out, you can’t have dinner. You’ll be there forever.'
Drew added, 'This was a nightmare. He roped me into a pre-game before the dinner and that’s when in the first five minutes he was like, "I ruined my marriage by having this torrid affair," and then crap talked his ex-wife and I was like, "You’re the worst." And he’s like, "Shall we go to dinner now."'
