It's been a busy year for Genesis. In 2021, the Korean luxury automaker introduced its first-ever dedicated EV, the GV60, and announced an ambitious plan to introduce eight new electric cars by 2030 as the company prepares to become an all-electric automaker. Before then, Genesis will launch an all-new version of the flagship G90 luxury sedan.

With the new Mercedes S-Class setting new standards for luxury sedans, competition in the luxury segment is stronger than ever before. An all-new version of the Audi A8 is also in development and the new BMW 7 Series is just around the corner, so the Genesis G90 will need to be special if it's going to stand out from the crowd.

As preliminary testing continues, our spies have spotted the new Genesis G90 getting a workout at the Nurburgring. This time, our photographers snapped some shots of the cabin, giving us a first look at the new G90's high-tech interior. The cabin is partially covered up, but the digital gauge cluster and central infotainment screen are fully visible.

The display doesn't look much larger than the current G90's 12.3-inch display and is no match for Mercedes' 56-inch Hyperscreen. It also no longer appears to seamlessly integrate with the digital instrument cluster. There is also a separate screen for the climate control system and the interior vents have been redesigned.

On the outside, the prototype hasn't shed any camouflage since our last sighting. A large Crest grille with a diamond mesh pattern dominates the front and the split LED headlights now merge onto the front fenders like on the Genesis X Concept. It also rides on the same stylish wheels as before and features flush door handles.

Under the hood, the current Genesis G90's 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 will be replaced with a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6. In the GV80, this unit generates 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. Since the current G90 is still being sold for the 2022 model year, the new model will debut next year and go on sale for the 2023 model year.
