New songs from your favorite artists come out all the time -- and we preview them down below!
This Friday, Oct. 22, Duran Duran returns with a new studio album titled Future Past. The 15th studio album from the long-running band, it’s been previewed in recent weeks with a handful of pre-release singles, including the bouncy “Anniversary.”
"Directed by Alison Jackson – whose work has always incisively satirized celebrity – it straight away finds Nick, Simon, Roger and John posing with a quartet of young actors dressed up to look like their 1982 selves." @BlackBookMedia_ https://t.co/fVRSv4XRCo pic.twitter.com/FYtI4ItUKP

The track, propped up by a propulsive beat and Simon Le Bon’s steadily unmistakable voice, now has a new video depicting the band partying in a castle with celebrity lookalikes of Dolly Parton, Billie Eilish, Daniel Craig, Sir Elton John, Lady Gaga, the Queen of England and more, a celebratory clip to partly commemorate Duran Duran’s 40th anniversary as a band.
It’s a riot:
Future Past, the first album from Duran Duran since 2015, was co-produced by the group and Erol Alkan, with additional production assistance from Giorgio Moroder and Mark Ronson. It features special guests Graham Coxon of Blur on guitar, Mike Garson from David Bowie’s band on piano, and guest vocals from Lykke Li, with more exciting collaborations to be announced soon.

Said bassist John Taylor of the song, which he called a “special” track given the linking of it to the group’s 40 years together:
“Obviously we were conscious of our own impending 40th anniversary of making music together, but we wanted the song’s meaning to be inclusive in the broadest possible way. After playing and working together for so long, we very much appreciate what ‘being together’ and ’staying together’ can really mean, it’s not something we would have thought song-worthy 40 years ago but we do today! It was also fun to build a track with hints of previous Duran hits, they’re like Easter eggs, for the fans to find.”
