On-The-Job Spotlight: Delp gets training at Headquarters Salon

The Daily Reporter

Breayna Delp is a senior at Colon High School and enrolled in business, management and marketing technologies program at Branch Area Careers Center.

Her OJT placement is at Headquarters Salon as an office assistant, under the supervision of Angie Taylor. She is responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, customer service, sweeping and washing towels.

Delp said her OJT training has taught her how a professional salon works and how to interact with customers. Her favorite part about the position is seeing different people every day and watching various techniques of stylists at the salon.

Her plan is to attend cosmetology school and also pursue a business degree. Eventually, she would like to operate her own salon and business.

At BACC, Delp is a member of Business Professionals of America and competed at BPA locals and regionals last year. She hopes to repeat that success this year.

At Colon High School, she participates in basketball, volleyball, softball, cheerleading and spirit club. She is a member of National Honor Society, varsity club and Spanish club. In her spare time,

Delp enjoys spending time with family and friends and working. Her parents are Crystal and Richard Delp.
