Watch: Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem in first teaser for 'Being the Ricardos'

Nicole Kidman admitted back in June on Variety's "Actors on Actors" series that she was "way out of my comfort zone" and even felt like she was "free-falling" in her role as Lucille Ball for Being the Ricardos.

You would never guess that by the looks of the official teaser, which Amazon Prime Video dropped Tuesday:

Ball (Kidman) kicks the 97-clip off confidently by declaring, "I am the biggest asset in the portfolio of the Columbia Broadcasting System."

We only get slight glances of Kidman as the late, trailblazing I Love Lucy star, but her narration is enough to immerse us in this world.

"I get paid a fortune to do exactly what I love doing," she says. "I work side-by-side with my husband, who is genuinely impressed by me."

At this point, we see a sleeping Desi Arnaz (Javier Bardem) before swooping to the I Love Lucy set, where audiences are eating up Arnaz and Ball. Spliced scenes of Arnaz and Ball embracing and kissing flutter by as Ball explains that she did the sitcom so she could work with Arnaz, and she never expected it to be a hit.

According to the official synopsis listed by Amazon Prime Video in the teaser's description, this is what viewers are in for once the film is released in theaters Dec. 10 and on Prime beginning Dec. 21:

"Lucille Ball (Nicole Kidman) and Desi Arnaz (Javier Bardem) are threatened by shocking personal accusations, a political smear and cultural taboos in Academy Award®-winning writer and director Aaron Sorkin’s behind-the-scenes drama Being the Ricardos. A revealing glimpse of the couple’s complex romantic and professional relationship, the film takes audiences into the writers’ room, onto the soundstage and behind closed doors with Ball and Arnaz during one critical production week of their groundbreaking sitcom I Love Lucy."

I Love Lucy aired from 1951-57 with Arnaz and Ball starring as Ricky Ricardo and Lucy Ricardo, respectively. Away from the screen, the couple were married for 20 years before divorcing in 1960.

Arnaz died from lung cancer in 1986, and Ball passed away in 1989 from a ruptured abdominal aorta suffered after heart surgery.
